My JOurney
When Having pursued creativity all my life, choosing to pursue art came naturally to me. My passion was initially fostered from editing together random videos, participating in my school’s news programs, and joining other young creatives in my area to make short films.
When I went to college at the University of San Diego, I initially decided to study Communications, but it was in my last 2 years that I really found my place within the school’s Art Department. A wonderful part of my education was the small class sizes for the art program, many classes had under 10 students, allowing for specialized and personalized help from faculty. At the end of my last semester, I even had the opportunity to install my art into a gallery space for a week.
During my Junior Year, I took a semester off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. During this time, I had an opportunity to work in a local TV studio as an intern. Eventually I worked my way up to Production Assistant, 3rd Chair, and eventually became an Associate Producer for the shows. This led me to more opportunities in producing music videos for local San Diego artists like Keni Can Fly and Andrew Garden.
